Germany is a country in Central Europe.It accounts for the largest population among the member states of the European Union and is home to the third-largest number of international migrants worldwide.

Educational System

The Germany school education system comprises of different kinds of schools like Hauptschule , Gymnasium , Realschule ,Gesamtschule.In Germany, students are graded on a scale of one through six, one being high and six being very low, or failing.
After each of the mentioned schools above, graduates can start a professional career with an apprenticeship in the Berufsschule (vocational school). The Berufsschule is normally attended twice a week during a two, three, or three-and-a-half year apprenticeship; the other days are spent working at a company. This should bring the students knowledge of theory and practice. The company must accept the apprentice to start the apprenticeship

The 300 post-secondary institutions (Hochschulen) in Germany include general universities, colleges of art and music, theological colleges, teacher colleges, comprehensive universities and polytechnic universities.The first degree or certificate awarded in the German system of post-secondary education is the equivalent of the U.S. Master’s degree.

Some students continue for a doctorate degree and post-doctorate studies. Doctorate degrees are e.g. Dr. phil (PhD), Dr. med. (MD), Dr. jur. (JD).
