VISA
International students are required to obtain study permit i.e. STUDENT VISA to study in Ireland. Ireland VISA is a Online Procedure Application forms are available from your nearest Irish Embassy, Consulate or Visa Office, or can be downloaded from the Department of Foreign Affairs website, www.dfa.ie and then visa date shall be issued .The VISA fee has been updated to 4400 INR plus additional service charges.
VISA Checklist
Printed and signed summary from online application. All applications must be lodged online ALL QUESTIONS ON THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM SHOULD BE ANSWERED. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN YOUR APPLICATION BEING REFUSED
2. Additional Student Visa Application form and Questionnaire. No Duplicates Required – these will not be returned to the applicant.
3. Original Passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from Ireland following visits. A full copy of all pages of this passport should be submitted.
4. One recent passport sized photograph not more than 6 months old.
5. All previous passports plus one copy of each. If you have been refused a visa for any other country, details of this, preferably the original letter issued to you by the authorities of that country, should be submitted. Concealment of other visa refusals will result in your Irish visa application being refused.
6. The required visa fee in the form of DD in favor of “Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi”. DD’s can be obtained from all VFS Application centers.
7. An up to date Police Clearance Certificate or Observation in your passport is required from each applicant.
Original plus one copy for each of the following documents:
- Acceptance Letter & Confirmation of fees paid — this is not necessary for those courses listed for “Approval In Principal”.

If you do not supply your agents name this will be considered as an attempt to mislead the Visa Official and your application will be refused. This will also be reported to the Educational Institute in Ireland

NOTE:
· Documents pertaining to property deeds, NSC’s, KVP’s, Mutual Funds should not be collected at all & will not be accepted by the Embassy also- a Chartered accountant’s statement incorporating the value of above property / funds will suffice.
· Fixed deposit receipts should not be submitted. A statement from the bank (Bank letter head) giving the total value of the deposits will suffice.
15. Please supply full contact details for all your sponsors. If they are not directly related to you, e.g.: Mother/Father/Sibling, please explain the relationship and provide some evidence of this. If your sponsors are unrelated to you please give some explanation as to why they are undertaking to sponsor your education in Ireland.

A VISA OFFICER MAY REQUIRE FURTHER DOCUMENTATION IF HE OR SHE DEEMS IT NECESSARY, BEFORE THEY CAN MAKE A DECISION ON AN APPLICATION.

APPLICATIONS DEALT WITH BY THE VISA OFFICE NEW DELHI MAY TAKE UP TO 4WEEKS TO PROCESS IF ALL DOCUMENTATION IS IN ORDER.
Complete information indicating how your studies will be financed for a minimum of the first 12 months (who the funds belong to and where they come from). This plan should be supported by documents showing accumulated funds, including:
i. Family banking records for the past 24 months (bank books and statements, accompanied by bank certificates dated within last three months)
ii. If you have received a loan for your studies, the loan sanction letter should be provided
iii. Fixed deposits
iv. Income Tax documents for yourself and your parents (for past 2 years)
v. If your family income is from agriculture please include land documents and agricultural income receipts (for the past two years)
vi. Proof of employment from each of your parent’s employer (salary fund statement, provident funds statement, employment contracts).
Please also provide letters of employment from each of your parent’s employer, including the company’s full name, the address and the
telephone number of the employer/supervisor, the length of service and the salary details
vii. Same information for prospective student, if applicable
viii. If you or your parent’s income is from business ownership please include proof of business ownership, partnership, business licenses, bank statements and tax documents from the business (for the past two years)
ix. If someone other than yourself or your parents is providing funding, please identify their relationship to you, an explanation as to why they are assisting you, information regarding the number of persons in their household and evidence of their financial ability, including documentary evidence of their liquid assets as well as their financial obligations such as mortgages, loans, etc.
Medical Examination
- Private medical insurance cover is required.
- Your College may arrange this on your behalf. If so, details of this must be included in your Letter of Acceptance from the college.
- If it is not arranged by the college, you must organize this yourself and provide evidence with your application.
